Following a public selection process, the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia decided to entrust Avv. Matteo Di Francesco with the task of providing professional services for the SAFELY Project as part of the “SEcurity and RIghts In the CyberSpace” Program, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
The SAFELY Project – Social media Awareness For Education and Legal Youth aims to promote digital awareness, focusing in particular on the younger generations. In an age where technology pervades every aspect of young people’s lives, SAFELY aims to provide comprehensive and careful training on the challenges and opportunities of digital technology.
Given his specialization in labour law, Avv. Matteo Di Francesco, under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Casadei, will oversee the labour law aspects related to the evolution of work in the digital age, with a particular focus on the new employment dynamics that have emerged with the development of social media, artificial intelligence and digital platforms. The role involves the design and production of digital content, including articles, reports, and audiovisual materials, aimed at exploring the legal implications of online work, with a specific focus on emerging professional figures such as influencers, content creators, and digital platform workers.
Finally, the role will involve in-depth study of the social and legal effects of influencer activity, highlighting the potential damage resulting from the dissemination of incorrect content, the promotion of unregulated products, and the impact on the perception of certain social models.
